01. What is ITEE?
The Information Technology Engineers Examination (ITEE) is a national-level IT certification exam adopted by the Government of Bangladesh. Since October 2013, Bangladesh has conducted the ITEE twice a year.

02. Who can apply for the exam?
- Open to all—no age, degree, or work experience requirements.
- Undergraduates are welcome!
- Basic knowledge of IT, Strategy, and Management is necessary to pass.
03. What exam categories are available under ITEE?
ITPEC offers 4 exam levels, but Bangladesh currently conducts two:

04. Which exams are currently conducted in Bangladesh?
Bangladesh currently offers:
- Level 1 (IP Exam) – Suitable for IT & non-IT professionals with IT/Strategy/Management knowledge.
- Level 2 (FE Exam) – Designed for IT professionals, graduates, and 4th-year CSE/IT students.

- Paper-based only (no online option).

- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) – No negative marking.

Note for FE Exam:
- You must register and attend both the Morning & Afternoon exams. If you pass only one part, you’re a “Half Passer” and must clear the remaining part within 1 year (2 additional attempts).
- Failing to do so cancels your status, requiring a fresh registration.
11. Is the exam difficult?
- IP Exam: Manageable with IT/Strategy/Management knowledge.
- FE Exam: Challenging for non-IT backgrounds; best suited for IT-related graduates/ professionals.
12. Are there any training courses for ITEE?
- No formal training centers exist in Bangladesh—self-preparation is recommended.

14. How many times can I take the exam?
No limit—you can retake it until you pass.
15. What is a “Half Passer”?
(Applies only to FE Exam)
- If you pass only one part (Morning or Afternoon), you’re a Half Passer.
- Must pass the remaining part within 1 year (2 attempts).
- Failing to do so resets your status—you must retake both parts as a fresh candidate.
16. Is the certificate internationally recognized?
Yes! The ITEE certification is globally recognized, particularly in Japan and ASEAN countries, as it follows the standardized ITPEC (Information Technology Professionals Examination Council) framework.
17. When does registration open?

18. Where are the exam centers?
Currently held in: Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, and Khulna.
19. How can I prepare for the exam?
For IP Exam:
- Collect “IT Passport Exam Preparation Book” for Level-1 (IP Exam) from BDITEC, Bangladesh Computer Council.
- Download past exam questions from ITPEC website: VISIT and also our website’s “Download“ section
- Download the IP Syllabus.
For FE Exam:
- Collect “New FE Text Book (Vol. 1 & 2)” for Level-2 (FE Exam) from BDITEC, Bangladesh Computer Council.
